Replacement rotor and scraper for the Chiaramello Monolobi 60 pump. They are the two wear parts: as they wear, the clearance opens and the pump stops priming. Replaced together.
Replacement rotor and scraper for the Chiaramello Monolobi 60 lobe pump.
They are the pump's two wear parts, the only food-grade plastic components inside a 316L steel body. They are replaced together because they work against each other.
01 · WHY THEY WEAR
A lobe pump moves honey because it pulls a vacuum, and that vacuum depends on the clearance between rotor and scraper. Being the soft parts of the assembly — plastic against stainless steel — they are the ones that give way over working hours. As they wear, the clearance opens up: the pump becomes harder to prime, loses flow and eventually stops drawing. The body is left alone; you renew the two parts and the fit comes back.
02 · WHEN TO REPLACE THEM
The sign is not a noise or a leak: it is that the pump no longer picks up product as it used to. If you have to prime it again and again, or if at the same speed it moves less honey than last season, check these two parts first. What wears them fastest is running dry: with no honey between rotor and scraper there is no lubrication and the mechanical seals overheat.
03 · BEFORE YOU BUY
Check the model on your machine's plate before ordering: the Monolobi range comes in more than one size and the internal parts are not interchangeable.
