Details of Honey Pump Monolobi® 60

Monolobi 60 for transferring strained honey, with adjustable speed and reversible rotation. A single rotor and scraper move the product within a 316L stainless-steel body.

The inverter lets you match the transfer rate to the receiving tank. This model’s manual excludes fluids containing solid bodies; do not choose it for a honey-and-cappings mixture.

01 · PERFORMANCE

700 l/h declared maximum

Speed is adjustable from 60 to 330 rpm and geometric displacement is 0.038 litres per revolution. Chiaramello declares a maximum of 700 l/h; that is not a throughput promise for every honey or installation. Restricted inlet supply, a long pipe run or very viscous honey can limit performance. The 0.75 kW motor is fitted with 1/10 reduction gearing and an inverter with a single-phase input. Check the unit’s electrical nameplate before connecting it.

02 · INSTALLATION

Fill the chamber before starting

Figure 5 in the manual shows honey being introduced through one port until it reaches the chamber; only then is the pump started. Positioning it close to the tank and arranging gravity feed helps keep the inlet supplied. Do not infer the priming procedure from another pump sold as a “lobe pump”: the Monolobi uses one rotor and a scraper, rather than two synchronised lobes. Monitor the source tank level throughout the transfer.

03 · MAINTENANCE

Check fittings and clean the circuit

The stated port diameter for model 60 is 40 mm; fitting type can vary with the configuration. Before preparing hoses, identify the matching fitting, gasket and clamp. Do not automatically equate DN40 with a 1½-inch thread. The stated 10 bar limit applies to the pump, not to every hose. After use, remove honey residues, clean and dry as instructed; protect the motor and inverter from water and disconnect power before dismantling.
