Self-priming flexible vane pump. Adjustable flow up to 1,500 L/h. Ideal for honey transfer, recirculation and creamy honey. Made in Poland.
If you're looking for a versatile solution for transferring, recirculating or producing creamed honey, this flexible vane pump from LYSON (Poland) is a solid choice for any honey house. It’s designed specifically for handling honey, allowing you to move the product efficiently without damaging its structure.
This model features a 1.5 kW motor and a Mitsubishi Electric control system with both speed inverter and direction switch. That means you can tailor the pumping speed to the task at hand: filling a settling tank, circulating within a container, or gently moving honey to a bottling line.
The pump uses a flexible vane (impeller-type) rotor, a self-priming system especially useful in setups without gravity assistance. It allows for the transfer of fluid or partially crystallized honey without aeration or emulsion, preserving the honey's texture and clarity — essential if you're bottling directly.
It’s also suitable for producing creamy honey by recirculation. In Central Europe, it’s common to obtain a smooth spreadable texture not by stirring, but by continuously recirculating honey for 2–3 days at 25–30 °C. This method works well with fast-crystallizing honeys such as canola, eucalyptus or lavender.
Important: although the inverter gives you control over the motor speed, you should avoid running the pump at high RPMs. Over-speeding may whip the honey and incorporate air, which negatively affects its consistency and visual quality. Keep the speed low — just enough to maintain steady flow without turbulence.
Also, never run the pump dry: flexible vanes rely on the lubrication and resistance of the honey to function properly. Check hose fittings and gaskets before use to prevent leaks and ensure priming.
The pump comes mounted on a wheeled stainless steel frame, making it easy to move between tanks, filters and bottling stations without needing a fixed installation.
In summary: a powerful and practical tool for mobile use, with smooth and controlled performance. Used correctly — avoiding dry run and excess speed — it’s ideal for fluid transfer and creamed honey production.
