Details of Vertical auger honey pump

LYSON W20210S vertical pump for removing honey through the top of a tank. Its pumping assembly is lowered into the honey, allowing use with containers without a bottom outlet.

It requires a 400 V supply and has a 2.2 kW motor. Before choosing it, check that the honey house has a suitable electrical connection.

01 · PERFORMANCE

Flow with temperature and head specified

LYSON publishes a 1,500–3,000 l/h range and a reference output of 1,500 l/h with honey at 30 °C. The manual’s curve for honey at 40 °C shows approximately 2,900 l/h at 1 m lift, 2,400 l/h at 3 m and 1,400 l/h at 5 m. These manufacturer references illustrate how lift affects performance; they do not replace sizing the actual hose-and-bend circuit. The preparation section calls for warming honey to around 40 °C; manage the batch’s heating process accordingly.

02 · INSTALLATION

Lower the pumping section before starting

The manual requires the pumping section to be immersed in honey before starting. Connect Ø40 mm hose to the discharge fitting using the coupling; hose is not included. Hose diameter must not be confused with a thread’s nominal size. The control selects right, left or stop. Check the required direction and stop before changing it. This selector changes direction; it does not adjust motor speed.

03 · MAINTENANCE

Cleaning: water at 50–60 °C

For rinsing, LYSON specifies roughly 40 litres of water at 50–60 °C, pumped through to remove honey residues and repeated if needed. This is the wash-water temperature, not a recommendation for heating honey. Protect the motor and electrical components from moisture. Clean and dry the equipment afterwards; honey left inside can crystallise and damage seals. Carry out dismantling or maintenance with the machine stopped and disconnected.
