Details of Supra Hoseclamp stainless steel clamp for honey hose, 43-47 mm and 55-59 mm

Swienty stainless-steel «supra» T-bolt hose clamp for holding the honey hose on the barb of the pump, filler or coupling: two sizes, 43-47 mm for 1½″ (40) hose and 55-59 mm for 2″ (50) hose.

The wide band spreads the clamping force all round the barb: it closes without biting the hose, which is what a worm-drive clamp does when tightened hard.

01 · THE SIZE

Chosen by the outside diameter of the fitted hose

The 43-47 goes with the 40 mm reinforced hose on its 1½″ barb; the 55-59 with the 50 on a 2″ barb. What counts is the outside diameter of the hose once pushed onto the barb, not the nominal: measure it with callipers or a tape and pick the range that holds it in the middle, not at the edge.

02 · HOW TO TIGHTEN

In stages, centred on the barb

Slide it over the hose before fitting, sit it on the bearing zone of the barb and tighten the bolt in stages with a spanner, band flat and centred. Test for leaks with the machine stopped, and after the first transfer check the tightness again: the hose settles and loosens.

03 · STAINLESS

To wash with the line

Band, bridge, bolt and nut in stainless: it is washed with the hose and leaves no rust in the honey house. A clamp with deformed edges or a stripped thread is replaced, not retightened.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

One clamp of the chosen size is supplied; hose, couplings and ball joints come separately.

✕ DOESN’T FIT	25 or 60 mm hoses and joints outside 43-59: out of range it does not close or it bites.
