Langstroth frame in pine with a built-in Hoffman shoulder and five horizontal untensioned wires. It drops straight into any Langstroth brood box or super of 48 × 23 cm and holds the bee space between adjacent frames without castellated runners or plastic spacers. You receive it ready to tension the wires, embed the wax foundation, and put the frame back in the hive.
The side bars are cut with the Hoffman shoulder, so two adjacent frames rest against one another and leave exactly the bee space the colony needs for travel without sealing it up with propolis. That removes the need for castellated runners or plastic clip spacers, which slip out of place during routine inspections or migratory transport.
The frame arrives with five horizontal wires already threaded through the side-bar holes, untensioned. There is no need to thread wire one strand at a time: tension it with a wire crimper, embed the foundation onto the wire with a spur embedder or a transformer, and the frame is ready for the box. Horizontal wiring holds the comb securely during tangential or radial extraction, without it dropping out of the frame under the weight of the honey.
Solid pine of good thickness, free of loose knots and splinters, holds up to several brood and harvest cycles before it starts to fatigue. The 25 mm top bar is the global Langstroth standard and fits any super or brood box of the same format, with no need to adjust the spacing of the hive.
