Langstroth frames PREMIUM (wire tightened and with eyelet)

When you arrive at the apiary and see that the bees have drawn the comb straight, without sagging or deformation, you know you've made the right choice of frames. I no longer change my Langstroth Hoffmann frames – they are well-designed and ready to work, no time wasted wiring or adjusting.

This model is made from selected pine wood with clean, precise finishes. It includes a top groove in the head bar, perfect for fitting the wax foundation and promoting orderly comb building. While many beekeepers fix the wax at the top, it’s also valid to attach it at the bottom and let the bees build upward – a good technique in strong colonies with good nectar flow.

The frame comes pre-wired with stainless steel wire, saving a lot of workshop time. Unlike galvanized wire, stainless steel doesn’t rust or contaminate over time, which improves hive hygiene. Just keep in mind that it requires at least 24 V to heat the wire effectively when using an electric embedding transformer, due to its lower conductivity.

It also includes metal eyelets on the side holes, protecting the wood when tightening or rewiring – they prevent the wire from cutting into the wood, extending the frame’s lifespan.

These frames fit perfectly in Langstroth brood chambers and are designed with Hoffmann spacing (meaning the side bars are wide enough to keep correct bee space without spacers).
