Layens Nuc with Bees and Mated Iberian Queen (6 Frames)

When spring really kicks in, a strong nucleus can save you weeks. A tight brood pattern, some stores on the frames, and a mated Iberian queen doing her job from day one. That’s what this Layens nucleus is for: a clean, reliable start for expanding your apiary without gambling on weak swarms.

The nucleus is supplied in a Layens HDF nuc box (included) with 6 frames, combining brood at different stages (depending on development) plus honey and pollen stores. The goal is practical: enough bees and food to hold steady, keep brood fed, and build up as soon as weather and forage allow.

Management-wise, don’t keep it in the nuc too long. After you place it in your apiary, plan to transfer it into a full hive within 5 to 15 days. Come prepared: • a ready Layens hive • frames with wax foundation • stimulation feeding if conditions turn bad • reduce the entrance at first if robbing is a risk.
