Details of Dadant Super frames (US)

The super frame is where the bees draw the comb and store the honey of the super. This model, in pine wood with three horizontal wires, arrives ready to take your wax foundation and go straight into the super.

🔧 Straight, simple and economical

It's a straight frame, with no Hoffman shoulders: it takes up less, costs less, and you set the spacing between frames yourself (with a spacer, a nail or by eye). The three wires hold the foundation so the bees draw it evenly and the comb withstands spinning without buckling.

📐 How to choose your size

Available in two heights to fit your Langstroth super:

48 × 17 cm — top bar 30 mm wide
48 × 16 cm — top bar 25 mm wide

Measure your super and pick the matching height; the top-bar width (25 or 30 mm) sets how much the frame rests on the super.
