01 · SPLIT ENDS DON'T MEND

What it does do

Hair is not living tissue: once the cuticle opens, it does not regenerate. What a conditioning treatment achieves is to smooth that cuticle and leave it coated, so the hair combs out better, shines more and the ends catch on each other less.

The static claim does have a direct explanation: hair picks up a negative charge from friction, and conditioners carry positively charged agents that neutralise it. That is why it combs better afterwards.

02 · MID-LENGTHS TO ENDS

How to apply it

On washed hair that is damp, not dripping — excess water dilutes the product and it goes down the drain. Spread it from mid-lengths to ends, leave it 10-15 minutes and rinse with warm water.

The roots do not need it: there it just weighs hair down. With 250 ml and a normal dose you get around ten applications.

03 · IF YOU REACT TO PROPOLIS

The warning that belongs here

Propolis is a known allergen, and here it is left in contact with the skin for a quarter of an hour. Anyone who reacts to hive products or to resins should avoid it, and if in doubt try a small area first.

It is a cosmetic, not a medical treatment: it improves how the hair behaves while you use it. If what you have is genuinely split ends, scissors are what remove them — the mask handles the rest.
