Professional intervention suit for Asian hornet (Vespa velutina) nest removal. Double-layer construction with polyester padding, EN397 helmet, EN166 1B 3 visor, EN388 kevlar-lined gloves and triple-elastic gaiters. Fluorescent red for operator visibility, dedicated pocket for adrenaline auto-injector and four carabiner rings on belt. AITEX-certified, patented design.
Removing an active Asian hornet (Vespa velutina) nest is not a routine task: the attack is coordinated, massive, and aimed at every gap in the suit. This coverall is built for those who face it several times a year — firefighters, pest-control teams and professional beekeepers. Within our anti-velutina range it is the top-tier model, with reinforcements, technical pockets and details that only make sense when a single working day involves several back-to-back interventions.
Outer shell in fluorescent red 250 g/m² (50 % polyester / 50 % cotton) so the operator stays visible throughout the manoeuvre — essential when working on façades, ladders or urban environments with a ground team coordinating. Underneath, 100 % polyester padding at 200 g/m² and a 240 g/m² inner lining create a buffer chamber between sting and skin. Knees, elbows and seat reinforced: the areas that suffer most when leaning against walls, vegetation or kneeling next to the nest.
Hood with certified EN397 helmet (ratchet wheel adjustment + chin strap) and polycarbonate EN166 1B 3 visor with ventilation that stops impacts and venom splashes to the eyes. Teflon-coated fibreglass mesh 2x2 mm giving 180° vision in a low-profile design. EN388 gloves, anti-puncture coated with kevlar lining, joined to elastic sleeves — no exposed area between glove and sleeve. Padded neck guard reaching to the ears, where stings tend to concentrate when bending forward.
Four carabiner rings on the belt for harness, tools or a backup spray. Two spray holders: one fixed on the back with elastic straps and a second one hanging from the belt — essential when climbing a ladder with one hand free. Front metal double-slider zip with full velcro storm flap. Lower-leg zips with velcro adjustment to fit boots in place, and triple-elastic gaiters (top, bottom and under-foot strap) to seal the leg opening. Two front zip pockets in nylon.
The left arm carries a dedicated pocket for the adrenaline auto-injector (EpiPen). In professional nest removal, anaphylaxis from multiple stings is the most serious and fastest-evolving complication. Having the auto-injector accessible without taking off the suit can make the difference. Coordinating with a partner and rehearsing the protocol before approaching the nest is part of the job.
