Avispaclac Spray 600ml

A 600 ml aerosol insecticide for wasps and hornets, with a reach of about 4 metres so it can be applied from a distance. Fast knockdown, effective on other insects and arachnids too.

Composition: permethrin 0.5%, pyrethrum extract 0.4% and piperonyl butoxide 1%. Safety interval of 12 hours.

Registration and use. Registered with the Spanish Directorate-General of Public Health, Environmental Health under number 14-30-07064 (under renewal), and intended for use by trained professional operators. Read the label before applying and observe the safety interval.

Not every nest is the same problem. A small common-wasp nest in a shed or under an eave, tackled with proper protection and after dark, is within reach of someone who knows what they are doing. A Vespa velutina nest is another matter: it can hold several thousand individuals, it is usually high up, and its removal follows its own protocol — in many Spanish regions it is reserved to authorised personnel. If you find one, do not disturb it: report it to your regional authority.

Bear in mind too that this is neither a trapping nor an entrance-protection product: it is for one-off intervention. What actually lowers pressure on the apiary is selective queen trapping in spring and physical entrance protection in summer.
