80 g shampoo bar by ApiLinda, Bienen-Ruck’s cosmetics line: a coconut isethionate cleansing base with honey, propolis extract, sweet almond oil and organically grown shea butter according to the label. It cleans with rich lather without drying, with no plastic bottle and no liquids to spill in the suitcase. It carries fragrance with allergens declared in the INCI.

A solid shampoo is a shampoo with the water and the bottle taken away: the bar is rubbed on wet hair and makes its lather there, and an 80 g bar lasts far longer than it looks.

01 · WHAT IS IN IT

Honey, propolis, almond and shea on a coconut base

The cleansing base is Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, a coconut-derived surfactant with a creamy lather, sulphate-free. On top, the ingredients from the apiary and the pantry: honey, propolis extract, sweet almond oil and shea butter, the latter and the corn starch organically grown according to the label. The result is a gentle wash that leaves hair clean, supple and easy to detangle, without weighing it down; on most hair types no conditioner is needed after.

02 · HOW TO USE IT

Rub, spread, rinse and let dry

On wet hair, rub the bar directly on the head or between the hands until it lathers, spread and rinse well. Between washes let it drain in a dry soap dish: sitting in a puddle it wears out sooner. With no water in the formula, the bar takes the space of a bar of soap, does not drip and passes hand-luggage liquid checks.

03 · WHO IT SUITS

All hair types; mind the propolis allergy

It suits all hair types. As with any cosmetic with propolis, it is not for anyone who knows it reacts on them: propolis is a known contact allergen, and the fragrance includes allergens declared in the ingredient list (cinnamyl alcohol, hexyl cinnamal, benzaldehyde). When in doubt, test on a small area. It is a cosmetic: it cleans and cares for hair, it treats nothing.
