Move the support rather than handling the larva

The Jenter queen-rearing kit uses a laying panel with 112 positions. Once larvae reach the appropriate age, the removable bases are transferred into the cup-and-holder system. The 112 positions describe the panel; they do not mean 112 queens will be produced in every cycle.

Avoid grafting while retaining a queen-rearing plan

The method is useful if seeing or handling a larva during grafting is difficult. You still need to organise laying, provide a colony with nurse bees and follow queen-cell development through to mating.

Keep to the Jenter system when adding or replacing parts: its removable-base mechanism differs from NICOT Cupularve. Choosing the complete system first avoids collecting cups and holders that do not form a matching assembly.
