Choose sheet dimensions and cell size

The selection includes Langstroth, Dadant and Layens moulds, plus a Langstroth drone-cell version. The latter changes the cell pattern rather than the frame size. Choose by the sheet dimensions needed and the intended use of the comb.

Cooling is part of the workstation

Pour in molten wax, close the mould and remove the sheet once solid. The process needs a level surface, molten-wax supply and water circulation through the plates. The mould does not replace the vessel used to melt the wax.

The manual says not to operate without cooling and to drain the water before storing the equipment where it might freeze. Clean the surfaces without hard tools to preserve the cell pattern. These precautions affect both sheet finish and mould life.
