Corner Bee Escape

When harvest time comes and it’s time to clear the honey supers without stressing the colony, a good galvanized metal bee escape makes all the difference. No need to shake every frame or use too much smoke: the bees move down to the brood chamber on their own, leaving the super clean and ready for extraction.

Its operation is simple and effective. It is installed on the corners of the crown board, over openings of about 30x30 mm or 40x40 mm, allowing bees to pass through in only one direction. The workers go down looking for the queen but cannot return to the super, leaving it almost bee-free within a few hours.

Made of galvanized steel, it withstands humidity and temperature changes without deforming. The perforated design ensures proper ventilation and smooth bee flow. It can be fixed with screws or rivets on each corner of the board, providing a durable, maintenance-free installation.

Recommended use:

• Place the crown board with bee escapes one day before harvesting.
• Remove the supers the next day, almost free of bees.
• Suitable for Langstroth, Dadant or Layens hives with adapted boards.
