Pack of 25 silver metal Twist-Off TO70 lids for food-use glass jars. The extra-tall H18 skirt is 18 mm high and provides the specific profile required by GLAM 300 and GLAM 700 jars with a tall DDO-70 finish.
01 · COMPATIBILITY
H18: the correct height for GLAM jars
The nominal diameter is 70 mm and the closure has four lugs. H18 differs from H14: although both are TO70 formats, they are not interchangeable. Always check the jar finish before closing.
02 · THERMAL LIMIT
Designed for controlled heat processing
The technical datasheet permits pasteurisation up to 100 °C and sterilisation up to 125 °C. These limits apply to the lid; the final result also depends on a compatible jar, filling conditions, closing adjustment and the process used.
FROM THE APIARY
A Twist-Off does not screw on like a bottle cap: the four lugs ride up a short ramp and the whole closure is a quarter turn. Sit it flat until you feel it settle, turn to the stop and leave it there: carrying on does not seal better, it bends the lug and leaves the jar impossible to open. If it grates or feels like the thread has stripped, lift it off and set it down again — there is no thread to strip, a lug has ridden over its ramp.
