01 · THE JAR

Diamond relief and a smooth 56.3 × 43.6 mm panel

A clear glass cylinder with a diamond-point faceted body and a smooth 56.3 × 43.6 mm window on the front: the label sticks flat there and the rest of the jar shows the honey through the relief, which with a light honey acts as a lens and with a creamed one picks out the facets. It measures 82.5 mm across and 197 high, weighs 453 g, and its 700 ml nominal hold about 900 g of honey at 1.4 kg per litre filled to the shoulder: weigh the first ones before printing the weight. The 70 neck fits any filler with a 70-80 mm cup.

02 · THE LID

TO70 H18: the extra-tall skirt, not the usual one

The neck finish is DDO-70 with an extra-tall skirt, and the lid that goes with it is the TO70 H18, with an 18 mm skirt: pack of 25 silver, pasteurisable (3299), rated for 100 °C pasteurisation on its datasheet. The TO70 H14 of ordinary honey jars has the same diameter and the same four lugs and does not close on this neck: the skirt falls short and it makes no vacuum. A quarter turn to the stop and no further; tightening more bends the lug.

03 · THE LABEL

24.5 cm² for everything mandatory

The smooth panel is 24.5 cm²; the relief takes no label, so everything mandatory has to fit there: name, net quantity and, since June 2026, origin with percentages under Royal Decree 68/2025, all at 1.2 mm x-height, because the jar’s largest surface exceeds the 80 cm² of Regulation 1169/2011 and there is no reduction to 0.9. Batch, best-before and operator can go on a round label on the lid, with a reference on the front. Design the label at 56.3 × 43.6 before ordering jars.

04 · THE FORMAT

25 jars, 10 kg of honey, and the 700 sibling

The pack of 25 is about 22.5 kg of bottled honey: the run of premium honeys, small-crop monoflorals or creamed honeys for gifts, where the container justifies the price. It weighs 11.3 kg. The same design in 300 ml (3297) measures 83.5 × 99 mm and takes the same TO70 H18 lid, so one lid reference covers both sizes. The supplier palletises it from the factory in 880 jars, for anyone going beyond the pack.
