60 % formic acid in gel form, with a dosing cap, in 500 g and 1 kg containers. A product for technical use or as a chemical reagent; it is not a medicine, biocide or pesticide, and it is not suitable for human or animal use.
This is not a veterinary medicine, and the distinction is not a detail. It decides what may be done with the product and what may not, and it is worth being clear about before adding it to the basket.
01 · WHAT IT IS
It comes in 500 g or 1 kg, with a dosing cap, for technical use or as a chemical reagent.
02 · CORROSIVE, NOT IRRITANT
It is worth using the right word. Formic acid at 60 % causes severe skin burns and eye damage: «avoid contact» does not cover it.
Handle it with chemical-resistant gloves, eye protection and in a ventilated place, never over ordinary work clothes and never with your face over the container as you open it. And never mix it with anything else.
03 · STORAGE
Keep it in the original container — the one that carries the hazard labelling — at room temperature, in a dry place, out of direct sunlight, out of reach of children and away from food.
Never decant it into drinks bottles or unlabelled containers. That is the mistake that turns a chemical into a household accident.
04 · BEFORE YOU BUY
It is a technical chemical: you buy it knowing what it is and what you handle it with.
