Formic Acid Gel 60%

In preparing hives for the next season, many beekeepers turn to traditional management tools that help maintain the balance of the apiary. One of these is Formic Acid Gel 60%, which provides a slow, steady, and controlled evaporation. Unlike liquid solutions that volatilize too quickly, the gel releases the acid gradually over several days, avoiding sudden peaks that disturb the bees and maintaining a more stable concentration inside the hive.

Its use is especially valued after the last harvest, in the final part of the season, when temperatures remain between 15 and 28 °C. The gel format, together with the included dosing cap, makes application simple and practical.

Beyond its role in hive management, many beekeepers highlight other useful functions: formic vapors help protect stored wax against wax moth and are effective in the hygienic maintenance of supers and frames.
