This pallet includes 1,183 units of 720ml glass jars, perfect for beekeepers and producers handling large volumes of honey or preserves. By purchasing in pallet quantities, you benefit from significant savings compared to individual unit purchases, making it an ideal option for businesses looking to optimize production costs without compromising on quality or product presentation.
It is a deep-mouth jar, so it takes a TO 82 lid with a deep skirt. With 1,183 jars, getting the lid wrong is not an oversight: it is a pallet you cannot use.
Pallet of 1,183 Aura 720 ml jars in clear glass, with an 82 mm Twist Off mouth and deep skirt. Ø 87 mm × 147 mm tall. Lids not included.
01 · IT NEEDS A DEEP-SKIRT LID
The Aura 720 is a deep-mouth jar, and that changes the lid: it takes TO 82 with a deep skirt, not the standard one. The house rule does not fail — if the name says «deep mouth», «Deep» or «DTO», the lid is the deep one.
It is the detail that costs the most returns, and here multiplied by one thousand one hundred and eighty-three. The lids are not included: order them at the same time and with the right skirt.
02 · NINE FIFTY, NOT A THOUSAND
Capacity is 720 ml, and honey weighs around 1.4 kg a litre: filled to the shoulder, that comes to about 950 g a jar.
If your label is going to say 1 kg, expect this jar to be right on the edge — a kilo takes about 715 ml and you would be filling almost to the brim. For a 950 g format it is perfect; for a straight kilo, measure before ordering a pallet.
03 · THE PALLET WEIGHS 340 KG
Each jar weighs 285 g empty, so the 1,183 come to around 337 kg of glass alone, plus the pallet and the cardboard.
That does not come off by hand: you need a pallet truck and somewhere to put it. And once filled at 950 g a jar the whole thing would be over a tonne — a pallet is emptied where you bottle, it is not moved full.
04 · HONEY ISN'T PASTEURISED
You read that the jar takes pasteurisation and sterilisation. For jams and preserves that is useful; for honey it is not: honey is not pasteurised, it is jarred cold and keeps on its own.
And for that same reason, with honey the lid button does not pop down and there is no click: no vacuum forms because there is no heat. It is not a faulty lid — with honey the closure is mechanical, a quarter turn to the stop and stop there.
