01 · WHERE IT GOES

Between the 5.00 tip and the syringe body

It fits between the model 5.00 glass tip and the body of the Schley syringe, with two jobs: sealing, so the semen column advances without air creeping in at the joint, and holding the tip in position without squeezing the glass until it cracks. Silicone does both because it adapts to the capillary and regains its shape when it is removed.

02 · WHEN TO CHANGE IT

Before it breaks: play, microbubbles, cloudiness

It does not fail all at once: it loses elasticity with use and cleaning cycles. The warning comes before the break: the tip goes in with more play, the fit is hard to keep or microbubbles appear where there were none. Hardened, cloudy or marked tube, new tube; it costs less than repeating a session with doubts about what was deposited. Clean it like the rest of the instruments and store it without folds.

03 · WHAT IT GOES WITH

Schley kit and 5.00 tips; plunger and grease at the same time

A 10 cm piece for the Schley kit and its 5.00 glass tips; like the rest of the insemination instruments it is not universal: with other brands’ syringes, check the capillary diameter before taking it as interchangeable. When restocking, also check the rubber plunger (1.12) and the silicone grease (1.16): the other two parts that age without warning.

One 10 cm tube is supplied; 5.00 tips, plunger 1.12 and grease 1.16 come separately.
