Complete hive or seven frames for an existing system

The Flow Hive Classic and seven-frame Flow Hive 2+ are hive sets. The set of seven Flow frames contains the special frames, not a complete hive. Adapting an existing box requires suitable frame accommodation, mechanism access and honey outlets; it is not simply a matter of replacing seven wooden frames.

The 2+ has a base with a multifunction tray and ventilation adjustment. Base and stand accessories depend on the family: a part listed for Flow Hive 2/2+ should not be assumed to fit Classic.

The window helps observation; inspection determines harvest

Lift and inspect the frames before opening the honey channels. The manufacturer warns that visible ends may look full while the centre still contains empty cells. A side window alone does not establish that all the honey is ready to harvest.

Flow changes how honey leaves the super, but brood inspection, health monitoring and colony space management remain necessary. The Super Lifter helps raise the super to reach the box below; it does not replace inspections or frame handling.
