Detalles de Flow Super Lifter® Hive Lifting System

There are days in the apiary you can feel in your back before you even open the first hive. The nectar flow is strong, the bees are flying hard, and those Langstroth or Dadant hives are stacked with supers that feel like they’re filled with bricks. You know you need to get down to the brood box—brood pattern, varroa, colony strength—but you also know the routine: crack the propolis seal, pull 30 or 40 kilos in one go, and then try to set the supers somewhere without crushing bees or losing track of the queen.

That repetitive strain is what wears us down year after year. It’s the reason many beekeepers scale back, or why the physiotherapist becomes part of the season.

This is where the Super Lifter changes everything.

Flow spent seven years refining this system until it worked exactly the way a beekeeper needs: smooth, stable and safe. The first time you use it, it’s obvious. You place the telescopic leg beside the hive, hook the arms onto the Load Point Screws—steel anchor points you install once—and give the handles a gentle pull. The propolis seal breaks and the whole box rises effortlessly. No jerking. No prying. No back strain.

And then comes the moment that sells you on it: the supers stay suspended, steady and completely out of your way. No balancing acts, no stacking boxes on the ground, no wrestling with heavy equipment while bees pile up. You work the brood box calmly, with both hands free. When you lower everything again, you do it slowly enough that the bees move on their own. The result: almost no crushed bees and a noticeably calmer colony.

Compatible with the hives you actually use

Langstroth, Dadant, National, Flow Hive—if the hive is roughly the width of a ten-frame Langstroth or seven Flow Frames, the Super Lifter handles it. Two full supers, even when packed with capped honey, are well within its working range.

Built for real beekeeping, not showroom floors

This isn’t a lightweight gadget. It’s serious field equipment. The arms are high-strength extruded aluminium, the joints are precision stainless steel, and the telescopic leg is made for uneven ground. The spring-loaded foot grips even when the soil is soft, and the polymer-coated handles stay secure even with sweaty gloves in midsummer. When you’re done, it folds up and slides straight into the truck without taking space.

It’s one of those tools that, after a single morning, makes you think: “I should have bought this years ago.”

Standard Kit – The essentials
For beekeepers who want the lifter itself and the anchor points to start working immediately.

• Flow Super Lifter
• 8 Flow Load Point Screws

Deluxe Kit – For heavy use and migratory beekeeping
A more complete setup with better control, easier transport and hive-securing hardware for windy sites or moves.

• Flow Super Lifter

• Flow Super Lifter Carry Bag (padded for protection)
• 8 Flow Load Point Screws

Standard or Deluxe?
If you run fewer hives or want the pure lifting system: Standard.
If you move hives, work alone or want maximum comfort and organisation: Deluxe.

Both kits are ready to use on day one. And both make you wonder why you lived without one.
