Reach the hardest places with our 6m telescopic pole for catching bee swarms. Compatible with capture bags.
Six metres of aluminium in your hands change one thing before anything else: where you can go and where you cannot.
Telescopic aluminium swarm-catching pole, with extending, lockable sections up to 6 metres. The swarm bag is bought separately.
01 · BEFORE YOU RAISE IT
This comes first, and it appears in no catalogue: aluminium conducts electricity. A six-metre pole raised under a power line — or near one — is a serious accident, and swarms have a habit of settling exactly where they should not.
Before you extend it, look up and decide whether that swarm is taken from there or not taken at all.
02 · HOW IT IS WORKED
Extend only as far as you need and lock each section. With the bag fitted on the end, put it right under the swarm and give a sharp knock: the cluster drops whole, in one go.
At six metres and with a loaded bag, the weight levers on your wrists. Have the movement planned before you raise it, and come down slowly.
03 · WHAT IT BUYS YOU
What you pay for here is not having to climb a ladder with a swarm above you. You work standing, at a distance and with your veil on, which is how swarms get collected without a fright.
