THE PALLET, AT 130 G PER EMPTY JAR

Full pallet of 3,168 tall-neck jars of 212 ml, the 300 g jar of the market stall and the gift basket: 73 mm across, 71 high and about 130 g empty, around 440 kg of pallet to bottle in the order of 950 kg. The neck is high-skirt Twist-Off 66, the DTO66: the low TO66 lid of ordinary jars does not close. No lids; the same jar in a pack of 25 (2428), and the 136 ml (3307) sibling takes the same lid.

It is the jar the customer tries before buying the kilo: a low entry price, a wide neck for the spoon and a high-skirt lid that is not the usual one.

01 · THE JAR

212 ml with a tall neck that are 300 g of honey

A straight cylinder in clear flint glass, 73 mm across and 71 high, with the 66 neck almost as wide as the jar: the spoon reaches the walls and the bottom, which with creamed or set honey is what avoids leaving product stuck, and a thick honey goes in at once without dribbling down the neck. The 212 ml nominal hold about 300 g of honey at 1.4 kg per litre, filled well up: weigh the first jars of the batch before printing the weight on the label. It fits fillers with a 70-80 mm cup.

02 · THE LID

High-skirt DTO66: look at the height, not the diameter

The neck is 66 mm Twist-Off in the high-skirt version: the low TO66 lid of ordinary jars (3141, 3142, cases 3204-3207) is the same width and does not close properly on this neck. It takes the DTO66: pack of 25 in silver (3145) to try and case of 720 in gold (3208), black (3209) or silver (3210) for the pallet, four and a half cases. It is the same lid the 136 ml (3307) jar takes: one lid reference for both formats of the gift set.

03 · THE LABEL

Measure before designing

Since June 2026 the origin of honey is labelled under Royal Decree 68/2025, with the countries in the main field of vision and their percentage, and on a 300 g jar that competes for space with name, net quantity, batch, best-before and operator. The body is around 160 cm² of side surface, above the 80 cm² of Regulation 1169/2011: mandatory particulars go at 1.2 mm x-height, without the reduction to 0.9. Count that space before sending the label to print.

04 · THE PALLET

3,168 jars, 440 kg and truck access

3,168 jars come palletised and shrink-wrapped: at about 130 g each, around 440 kg with pallet and cardboard, to bottle in the order of 950 kg of honey. It is the unit of the producer selling at markets, village shops and gift baskets who does not want to run out of jars in the Christmas season: freight per jar is far lower than in packs, and glass, kept dry and wrapped, does not expire. It ships by pallet carrier, with truck access and a covered spot to unload. To try, the pack of 25 (2428).

05 · BEFORE YOU BUY

The pallet of jars is supplied without lids; the high-skirt DTO66 lids (3145, 3208, 3209, 3210) come separately.
