01 · THE JAR

900 ml that are a good kilo and a quarter

A clear glass cylinder from the gallon range, the largest of the three formats: its 900 ml hold between 1.25 and 1.30 kg of honey depending on density and flora. It works in direct sales at the apiary, in country houses and with regulars who restock two or three times a year, because the customer already buying a kilo is offered a bit more without changing the pitch. Clear glass shows off honeys with strong colour and showy crystallisation, heather, chestnut, rosemary or orange blossom, which in an opaque container lose half the sales argument.

02 · THE NECK

TO77, not the TO82 of the kilo jar

The thread is 77 mm Twist-Off, not the 82 of traditional kilo jars: ordering TO82 lids out of habit means 1,584 jars you cannot close. In cases of 950 there are gold (3216), black (3217), honeycomb (3218), bee (3219), white (3220) and silver (3221), and in a case of 970 the bronze (3284): two cases cover the pallet with margin for the ones spoiled on closing. It is the same neck as the V580 jar (3268) and the half-kilo 12REF (2905), so anyone already on TO77 changes nothing in their line.

03 · THE PALLET

1,584 jars, 665 kg and somewhere to unload it

1,584 jars come palletised and shrink-wrapped: at 400 g of glass each, close to 665 kg with pallet and cardboard. It is one of the heaviest pallets in the catalogue, so be clear about how you will unload it and where you will store it before ordering: pallet carrier, truck access and a covered spot. In exchange, two tonnes of bottled honey without reordering containers all season, and glass kept dry and wrapped does not expire. To try the format, the pack of 16 (3294).
