01 · THE LID IS DEEP, NOT STANDARD

Deep skirt, and only that one fits

The jar has a Twist Off 63 deep-skirt finish, listed as TO63 Deep. The skirt is longer than on an ordinary TO63, so a standard TO63 lid will not close this jar.

This is the confusion that costs a whole order: there are several ordinary TO63 lids — gold, black, honeycomb, with a bee — and every one of them is the right diameter but the wrong skirt. Ask specifically for the deep-skirt one.

02 · 500 GRAMS OF HONEY

380 millilitres is half a kilo

Usable capacity is 380 ml, which with honey's density — 1.4 kg per litre — and the usual headspace comes to around 500 g of honey.

That is the number for the label: it is sold as a half-kilo jar, not by its millilitres.

03 · 1,904 JARS WEIGH 340 KILOS

Before any honey goes in

Each jar is 180 g of glass, so the full pallet comes to around 340 kg empty. You need a pallet truck or forklift to unload it and firm ground to move it.

If your volume does not reach a pallet, the same jar is available in a pack of 25.

04 · WHAT THE EMBOSSING IS FOR

Label surface and grip

The embossed cylindrical body does two concrete things: it gives grip when handling, and it offers a continuous, wide surface for labelling that takes both a front and a wrap-around label without being broken up by edges.

It is a presentation format: you choose it when the honey is sold on its origin or its variety and the container has to carry that positioning on the shelf.
