The Gallon is the largest container in the catalogue: nearly four litres, five and a half kilos of honey, and a 110 mm finish. This is not a shelf jar; it is what you use to move honey in bulk, supply a workshop or sell by weight without going to a drum. The pallet holds 392 units, a little over two tonnes.
Each jar takes around 5.5 kg of honey in its 3895 ml. The full pallet comes to about 2.1 tonnes with only 392 pieces to handle, far fewer than the equivalent in kilo jars.
The 110 mm finish lets you fill with the valve wide open and empty with a ladle or spatula without fighting the neck. The container weighs 1.4 kg empty: thick glass, built to be handled full and to take repeated transfers.
392 jars cover the season for anyone moving honey by the tonne. Delivered palletised and shrink-wrapped; against the pack of 5 the unit price drops by around 35%.
