Details of Gas cartridge

A pierceable gas cartridge with a butane-propane mix, for the FURETTO and VAROMOR vaporisers.

It is the kit's consumable: worth keeping a spare in the van, because running out of gas halfway through an apiary means coming back another day.

01 · SAFETY

Pierceable means it does not unscrew

The cartridge has no valve of its own: it is the equipment's BTP C200 Pro safety valve that pierces it as you screw it on, and that seal is made for good. Once pierced it must not be unscrewed until empty, because releasing it lets out whatever gas is left with nothing to contain it. Between treatments, store the kit with the cartridge fitted, upright and away from heat.

02 · COMPATIBILITY

Check the valve before the cartridge

Compatibility is set by the type of valve, not by the vaporiser: this is a pierceable screw-on cartridge and it matches the BTP C200 Pro. Cartridges with their own valve — the ones you can take off and refit — are not interchangeable with this system, even where the diameter looks the same. And on the treatment itself: whatever you apply must be an authorised veterinary medicine, and it is its own label and datasheet that set the dose, the timing and the conditions.
