01 · WHAT THEY ARE AND HOW OFTEN THEY SERVE
Reusable while they stay whole
They are the cellulose cloths of the FAM dispenser: they absorb the dose of product and evaporate it evenly under the seven-position disc. The maker rates them reusable, which is the mailbox question: the same sponge takes several applications while it is whole and clean; it is replaced when it falls apart or gets contaminated. Before use, the dry sponge is moistened, wrung out and smoothed so it soaks up all the liquid.
02 · FIRST, THE LAW
In Spain there is no formic acid authorised for the FAM
The FAM is designed for Formivar®, sold in Germany and Switzerland and not authorised in Spain, where preparing a home-made formic acid treatment is also unlawful; here formic acid is applied with the registered veterinary medicines. These sponges make sense where product and device are authorised, as per the label and with gloves and goggles.
03 · HOW THEY FIT
Flat on the base, under the disc
The sponge lies spread on the dispenser base, no folds or cuts, with the lid and disc on top: any wrinkle changes the intended evaporation surface. Remove with gloves and store dry.
04 · BEFORE YOU BUY
Five sponges are supplied; dispenser and product come separately.
