01 · WHAT IT SOLVES

The section has to sit firm

The plastic sections go inside a shallow-super frame that carries no wire, so there is nothing holding them but the fit. If they shift, the bees build off-square and end up propolising the section to the frame.

The hook grips the section and rests on the top or side bar of the frame. With that the section stays put through the whole flow, even loaded with nectar.

02 · THE TWO SIZES

It takes the large and the small

It works with NICOT sections both large, 130 × 105 mm, and small, 84 × 65 mm, so there is no version to choose by format.

It is made entirely of stainless steel: inside a hive it stands damp and propolis without rusting or losing its spring, and it is reused season after season.
