01 · 212 ML IS 300 G

Jars are labelled by weight, not volume

It looks like a mix-up of figures and it is not: honey weighs around 1.4 kg per litre, so a 212 ml jar filled level holds about 300 g. That is why the whole jar range is named for the grams of honey it takes and not for the millilitres of glass — if you are comparing against a container labelled by volume, do the conversion before you decide.

02 · THE CAP: HIGH SKIRT

The ordinary TO43 will not seal here

This is the only deep-finish TO43 in the catalogue, and that changes the cap: it needs the black TO43 with a high skirt, which covers more of the neck. The standard TO43 — the one for the 33 and 41 ml jars — will not do. And there is a second option for the counter: the wooden lid with a dosing rod, in its TO43 version, which is a serving lid and not a transport closure.

03 · WHAT THE SHAPE IS FOR

Special honeys and gifts

The faceted cut breaks the light and makes a small jar look expensive, which is exactly the point when you are packing a one-off harvest, a short run or a gift batch. The pack of 10 follows the same logic: a short-run quantity, to try out a presentation without committing to a full case.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

Supplied in a pack of 10 and without caps. The 500 g Diamond® is TO48, so caps are not interchangeable between the two sizes.
