Swienty stainless steel straight fitting with a hex nut: it connects a 1.5 inch hose to a honey tank or to the DANA 1000 filling machine.
It is a spare for the pipework, not for the head. You replace it when the bore has deformed or the fit no longer seals clean.
01 · STRAIGHT OR ELBOW
The line is built from sections and joints, and there are two parts for that: this straight connector, which carries on in line, and the elbow, which changes direction. Before ordering, look at how yours is put together and count what you need: swapping a straight for an elbow forces you to move the rest of the run.
02 · THE MATERIAL
All the pipework on a filling machine is stainless steel for the same reason: honey is slightly acidic and sits in the line for hours during a shift. A connector in any other material pits and ends up marking the product.
And because the line is stripped down for cleaning, the joint takes repeated assembly: that is where the fit goes, sooner than from the honey passing through.
