20-litre stainless steel hopper for the Dana 2000+ and 3000 filling machines. Gravity-fed, with no pump and no hoses.
20 litres of honey is 28 kilos, not 20. Honey weighs 1.4 kg per litre, and that weight has to go up there.
01 · 2000+ AND 3000 ONLY
The Dana 1000 takes the 10-litre one
It fits the Dana 2000+ and Dana 3000 filling machines exclusively. It does not suit the Dana 1000: for that model the hopper is the 10-litre one.
That is the check to make before ordering, because the two versions look alike and the seating diameter is not the same.
02 · GRAVITY FED
No pump, but no help filling it either
Feeding by gravity removes the pump and the hoses, and with them the setting-up and the cleaning between batches. For short runs it is the fastest thing there is.
The trade-off is the loading: 28 kg of honey has to get up there. You do it with a bucket or by pumping from the maturator, not by hoisting a drum.
03 · THE MATERIAL
Stainless, and it comes apart to wash
It is stainless steel, which is what belongs in contact with honey: it does not corrode and it takes hot water without distorting.
At 45 cm across and 44 tall, the mouth is wide enough to empty a bucket in one go without splashing.
04 · BEFORE YOU BUY
Confirm your Dana model: it does not mount on the 1000, and the equivalent hopper for that machine is the 10-litre one.
