01 · UP TO 80 MM OF LID

TO100 does not go in, nor does 11 cm

The maximum lid diameter is 80 mm. That covers the usual honey formats up to TO77, but it leaves out TO82 and TO100, and any 11 cm lid too. It is not a setting you can force: it is the dimension of the head.

The other limit is height: jars up to 30 cm. Within those two numbers it adapts to different container sizes without tools.

02 · MANUAL ONLY IN PART

The lever is manual, the turn is not

You set the lid on the jar and work the lever by hand, but the closing is done by a motor turning at 119 revolutions per minute. It needs power: 230 V / 50 Hz and 200 W, with an optional 115 V / 60 Hz version.

Worth knowing before counting on it for a market stall or a room with no socket: without power it does not close.

03 · THE CLOSING TORQUE

Between 2 and 3 Nm for honey

Torque is adjustable from 0.1 to 10 Nm and the maker's recommendation sits between 2 and 3 Nm. That number does the work: too little and the lid does not seal; too much and you damage the liner or strip the thread.

Being adjustable and repeatable, the advantage over closing by hand is not force but consistency: every jar in the batch ends up the same, which is what shows in the vacuum and in the keeping.

04 · NOT ONLY HONEY

It closes any twist-off that fits

The machine closes lids, it does not care what is inside: it works just as well for jams, preserves or pickles as long as the jar is within 30 cm and the lid does not exceed 80 mm.

In preserves the adjustable torque matters more than in honey, because the seal and the vacuum depend on the same tightness across the whole batch. It holds the Apimondia silver medal in its machinery category.

05 · BEFORE YOU BUY

Measure your lid first: if it is over 80 mm across, this machine is not yours however well the jar fits.
