It weighs every jar instead of calculating the volume, and that is the difference. It is slower than a volumetric doser, and it is more exact.
01 · WEIGHING OR DOSING
A volumetric filler doses by flow and time, with a tolerance that usually runs 1 to 2 %. This one weighs the jar: the tolerance is ±2 grams, and it does not grow with the format.
On a 500 g jar, that 1-2 % is 5 to 10 grams. Since filling below the declared weight is not an option, a volumetric machine has to aim high, and those extra grams are given away jar by jar. Across a few thousand jars, that is honey leaving the store unpaid for.
02 · WHAT IT DOES PER HOUR
The reference rate is 180 jars of 500 g per hour, that is around 90 kg/h: an eight-hour day at a steady pace gives on the order of 700 kg. It depends on the density and temperature of the honey, so cold honey brings the number down.
The setting range runs from 30 g to 5 kg, and it takes jars up to 240 mm tall. The weighing surface measures 22 × 15 cm.
03 · THE DRIP-STOP
As the cycle closes, the pump turns backwards for an instant and pulls back the thread of honey that would otherwise hang from the nozzle. This is not cosmetic: the drop that lands outside the jar is the one that fouls the thread, and a fouled thread does not seal.
The pump is a self-priming gear pump, so it starts without priming and runs continuously on liquid or creamed honey.
04 · WHERE THERE IS NO SOCKET
It draws 50 W at 230 V through a 12 V transformer, and that same transformer is what lets it run off a car battery. That is what separates it from workshop fillers.
At 5 kg and 36 × 28 × 47 cm it travels in a car boot: you can bottle where the honey is instead of moving the honey to the machine.

This is the accuracy option, not the speed one: if you need hundreds of jars an hour, a volumetric doser is what rules.
