01 · TWO FILLING HEADS

More speed, or the next honey ready to go

The two filling heads work together or separately. Together they give maximum throughput; separately, while one fills, the other can stand ready with a different honey, and changing product is just switching from one head to the other. Each head has its own product inlet with a 1½″ Triclamp connection: with two tanks you have two honeys connected at once, and if you work from just one, an optional manifold joins both inlets into a single 2½″ connection. The format is chosen on the 7″ touch screen and the station sets itself to the stored parameters.

02 · THROUGHPUT

1,500 jars an hour, counted at 250 ml a fill

The manufacturer quotes the 1,500 jars an hour at 250 ml a fill, about 350 g of honey; with 1 kg jars the rate drops. Accuracy is ± 2 g per fill across the whole range, from 20 g to 2 kg, and because it is a fixed margin it weighs more the smaller the jar: 0.8% on a 250 g jar and 0.2% on a 1 kg jar. The optional infeed and outfeed turntables each hold about 100 jars of Ø 65 mm, roughly four minutes at full speed: allow one person at each end.

03 · INSTALLATION

No compressor, but 575 kg and 13 amps

With no air involved there is no compressor to install or to listen to, and the station runs below 70 dB(A). It connects to 220–240 V and draws up to 3,000 W, 13 A at 220 V: give it a circuit of its own. On its own it measures 150 × 120 cm and stands 1.90 m high, 2.25 m with the signal tower, and weighs about 575 kg; with the turntables and the lid sorter it reaches 750 kg. Measure doors, ceiling and floor before you order. The parts in contact with the product come apart and go in the dishwasher or are washed in warm water.

05 · BEFORE YOU BUY

The station comes with guides for one lid type; each different lid you plan to use needs its own set. The lid sorter, the turntables and the labeller are optional. If you work with twist-off lids, like the TO lids in our catalogue, confirm it with samples of your jars and lids before you finalise the order.

⚠ PRECAUTIONS

As standard the station handles product up to 40 °C, and that is also the ceiling for honey: above it HMF rises, and HMF is a legal parameter. The hot-fill gear and hose set, rated to 95 °C, protects the machine when the product goes in hot; it is no reason to heat the honey.
