01 · HOW IT LABELS

The label comes off the roll and a roller presses it on

The dispenser peels the self-adhesive label off the roll and a pressure-roller system presses it onto the jar as it passes. The machine is designed for round jars; hexagonal jars need specific rollers, available as an option, and other shapes are studied case by case at extra cost.

It runs on compressed air at 4–6 bar and a compressor of about 2 HP with a 50 litre receiver (220-240 l/min, 8 bar max.) is enough; it is not included, so plan where it goes before the machine arrives.

02 · THE LABEL

At 250 mm long, it wraps jars up to Ø 80

Labels run from 15 to 250 mm long and 15 to 120 mm high. Those 250 mm decide the design: the circumference of an 80 mm jar is about that, so below it a single label can wrap the jar and above it you move to front and back labels. It takes jars from Ø 20 to 150 mm and 20 to 300 mm tall.

03 · DISPENSERS AND PRINTER

Up to three labels, and the batch code printed in the same step

It takes up to three dispensers, each adjusted separately: front and back cover the usual case, and the third is for the lid seal, the one people forget when asking for a quote. The batch and date printer prints that data in the same step as the label, so nobody has to mark hundreds of jars by hand. A counter and an end-of-roll warning are also optional. Decide all of it when you order, because it changes how the machine is configured.

04 · SPEED

It is not the labeller that holds the line back

4,000 labels an hour is more than enough for the fillers in the range: the complete Swienty line caps 1,000 jars an hour, which is 2,000 labels with front and back, and the Flexstation reaches 1,500 jars an hour at 250 ml a fill. Size works the same way: the labeller goes up to Ø 150 × 300 mm, but on the complete line the collecting table stops at Ø 120 × 170 mm, and the ceiling of the set-up is always set by the most restrictive machine.

05 · BEFORE YOU BUY

It is built to order: ask for a quote with your jar, your label and how many labels each container takes. It ships on its own pallet of about 170 kg; on the complete Swienty line the crate measures 175 × 105 × 175 cm, and depending on the configuration it can be larger.
