Set the torque once and every jar gets it

On the Siemens touch screen, 4″ and upgradeable to 7″, you enter the container size, the lid size and the tightening torque, and the machine stores them: the next run of that format starts by selecting its programme. It screws on screw and twist-off lids, metal or plastic, onto glass or plastic jars. It takes lids from Ø 40 to 120 mm and 7 to 30 mm tall — in our catalogue, TO43 to TO110 — and containers from Ø 40 to 150 mm and 25 to 350 mm tall.

02 · INTEGRATION

It goes in after the Swienty filler you already have

If you work with a Swienty filling machine or filling station, the tower goes in after it and the set-up then fills and caps without anyone touching the jar. Lids reach it from a lid sorter, which orders them and delivers every one the same way up; the sorter is bought separately and has its own lid range, so in practice the narrower of the two rules. Its conveyor runs at 900 to 1,050 mm high: check it against the outfeed of your filler or turntable.

03 · INSTALLATION

Plan for a compressor and 2.2 metres of headroom

The tower runs on compressed air at 6–8 bar, with a flow of 220 litres a minute and a 50-litre receiver. The compressor is not included: plan for it, and for where it will go, before the machine arrives. It asks little of the mains: 100 to 240 V and 2.15 A at 240 V. It takes up 1,950 × 1,000 mm of floor space, stands 1,950 mm high and 2,200 mm with the light tower on top, and weighs 300 kg.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

The tower comes on its own. Each lid type needs its own set of guides, and specially shaped containers need a holding tool: they are ordered separately, to suit your formats. Send us samples of your jars and lids and we will confirm the fit and what your line needs.
