Food-grade silicone anti-drip nozzle of 20 mm inside diameter for the Fillomat filler. Closes by itself when the piston stops.
01 · TWENTY MILLIMETRES, NOT ANOTHER
And how it works
It works on pressure: when the Fillomat pushes the honey, the silicone opens and lets the flow through; the moment the piston stops, it closes again and cuts clean, with no tail and no last drop.
It performs best with warm or slow-crystallising honeys — rosemary, orange blossom, mild wildflower. With cold, thick honey it is harder to open and the flow comes out uneven: it is the honey that rules there, not the nozzle.
02 · IT IS A WEARING PART
And that is the point of it
Silicone tires. When it starts dripping again, you change it — which is why it pays to have a spare before starting a jarring run, not halfway through.
That wear is precisely the advantage: the nozzle protects the machine's steel valve by being the sacrificial part, and it costs a fraction of what that valve costs. Clean it with hot water and do not store it with honey inside: crystallised, it will not open the same the next day.
