🔄 Peristaltic pump — the right principle for propolis and mead

In a peristaltic pump, the liquid only contacts the inside of the tubing: rollers compress and advance the fluid from the outside, with no metal or gear component touching the product. Two practical consequences: no cross-contamination risk between honey and low-viscosity liquids, and product changeover is as simple as swapping or cleaning the tube. For propolis tincture in ethyl alcohol — which would attack the seals in a standard gear pump — this is the correct approach. The working temperature range runs from 2 °C to 95 °C, which also covers hot-fill applications where needed.

📐 Two tubing configurations — choose by container format

The set is available in two versions by tubing diameter, which determines both flow rate and recommended dosing range. The Ø 6.4 mm kit reaches a maximum flow of 2,000 ml/min and is optimised for doses of 100–1,000 ml — suited to mead bottles or large propolis tincture jars. The Ø 3.2 mm kit runs at 550 ml/min with a recommended range of 20–200 ml — better for small dropper or spray-cap propolis formats. Filling accuracy in both cases is maximum 1% deviation per dose, with no compressed air or auxiliary media required.

🔌 Direct attachment to the Honeyaid® — no tools, no complex setup

The peristaltic pump head mounts directly onto the Honeyaid® drive unit, replacing the gear head. No tools or modifications to the base machine are required. Filling is triggered by the frame switch included in the kit; a foot switch or jar presence sensor can be added optionally for use with a rotary table. Switching between honey and propolis or mead is fast: remove one head, fit the other, clean the tubing — the drive unit, column and work platform stay in place.
