Propolis extension set for the Honeyaid filling machine (3106): a peristaltic pump head that mounts on the same drive unit in place of the gear pump head and turns the machine into a doser for low-viscosity liquids, propolis tincture in alcohol, mead and honey liqueur, in containers from 2 to 1,000 ml with a maximum deviation of 1 % according to Filling Evolution. With hose, nozzles and frame switch; the filling machine is not included.

The gear pump that moves honey to the gram is no use for a tincture in alcohol; in the peristaltic pump the liquid only touches the inside of the hose, and changing product means changing the hose.

01 · WHY ANOTHER PUMP

Gears for honey, hose for alcohol

The Honeyaid doses honey with a positive-displacement gear pump; with a propolis tincture in ethanol that head is not the tool: the liquid is almost water and the alcohol punishes the seals. In the peristaltic pump rollers squeeze a hose and push the liquid ahead of them: no metal part touches the product, there is no cross-contamination with honey and a clean hose is a clean head. It works from 2 to 95 °C, so it also fills mead hot.

02 · WHAT IS INCLUDED AND HOW IT MOUNTS

You change the head, not the machine

The peristaltic head attaches without tools to the Honeyaid drive unit in place of the gear head; column, base and controls stay as they are. Filling is triggered by the frame switch that comes in the set, or by the pedal and container sensor of the turntable (3109) if you automate. Going back to honey means taking one head off and fitting the other. In the photo, the head with its two roller modules, the hose with Y-connector and the nozzles.

03 · THE TWO HOSES

The diameter sets flow and range

Filling Evolution offers two hose kits: the 6.4 mm, up to 2,000 ml/min, recommended for doses of 100 to 1,000 ml, mead bottles and large tincture jars; and the 3.2 mm, up to 550 ml/min, for 20 to 200 ml, propolis droppers and sprays, with doses from 2 ml. Both, 1 % maximum deviation per the manufacturer, no compressed air. When ordering the set, say which diameter you need; the other is ordered separately.

04 · WHO IT IS FOR

Anyone who already has the Honeyaid and sells more than honey

It is an accessory: without the filling machine (3106) it does nothing. It makes sense for the honey room that, besides honey, bottles propolis tincture in 30 ml droppers or mead in 500-750 bottles and does it today with a syringe or a funnel. The other extension, for royal jelly and creams (3108), is a small gear head for pastes: different tools for opposite products. With alcohol, a ventilated room and no flames nearby: ethanol evaporates.

05 · BEFORE YOU BUY

The set is supplied: head, hose, nozzles and frame switch; the Honeyaid filling machine (3106) comes separately.
