Details of Stainless 1 ½ inch elbow for DANA filler

Food-grade stainless steel 90° elbow for the 1½″ outlet of the DANA filling machine (925), a honey tank or a vessel: it joins that outlet to the transfer hose and turns the flow through a right angle so the honey falls controlled onto the jar without bending the hose. Three parts: threaded nut, elbow and adjustable clamp. About 300 g; the hose comes separately.

With cold honey a hose bent in a tight curve chokes: the elbow keeps the full bore through the turn and the hose leaves in its natural direction.

01 · WHAT IT DOES

A right angle without a bottleneck

A straight outlet forces you to curve the hose, and with viscous honey that curve slows the flow and ends up kinking. The elbow keeps the inner diameter through the 90° turn, so the honey runs unthrottled and the hose starts already pointed at the container or the next tank.

02 · HOW IT FITS

Nut on the outlet, clamp to aim, tail for the hose

The nut screws onto the equipment’s 1½″ outlet; the screw clamp lets you turn the elbow to whatever position the room needs, down, sideways or towards the jar, before tightening; the upper end is a 1½″ hose tail the transfer hose pushes onto. It is the size of the DANA and of the house 40 mm stainless gates; with other outlets, check thread and bore before ordering.

03 · CLEANING

Three parts that come apart

The whole set is food-grade stainless: it transfers no taste, takes hot water and does not pit even if damp is left between harvests. It comes apart into its three pieces to clean inside the elbow, which is where honey sits when the outlet is closed.

The three parts are supplied; transfer hose and hose clip come separately.
