Details of Honeyaid® Nassenheider Honey Filling Machine

German-engineered gear pump dosing. From the extraction room to the jar — drip-free, accurate to the gram.

When extraction season peaks and the settling tank is full, bottling is always where time gets lost. A honey gate and a scale work fine for a few dozen hives, but once you're running 50 colonies or more — or selling across multiple jar formats — the margins on time and accuracy matter. The Honeyaid® is the direct successor to the long-established Nassenheider filling machine, the benchmark for professional beekeepers across Europe for decades, now rebranded and built to the same standard it always was: positive-displacement gear pump with gravimetric dosing, no compressed air, no complex setup, plugs into domestic 230 V. Consistent fills from the first jar to the last, whether you're bottling clear summer honey or stiff creamed blossom. And when you're done, the pump head comes apart in three minutes and goes in the dishwasher.

⚙️ Gear pump, not peristaltic — what that means for accuracy

The Honeyaid® uses a positive-displacement gear pump: each rotation moves a fixed volume of honey regardless of viscosity. The same machine handles freshly extracted liquid honey at 22 °C and stiff set honey at 28–30 °C without reconfiguration. Real-world fill accuracy sits at ± 1–2 g per jar via the built-in auto-calibration function — enough to meet legal weight labelling requirements without manual correction. Maximum pump throughput is 600 kg/h; in serial bottling with 500 g jars, practical cadence is around 400 filled jars per hour with manual placement. Add a rotary table and that number rises significantly. The anti-drip retraction function briefly reverses the pump at the end of each dose and seals the nozzle without leaving a thread.

🎛️ Three operating modes — including transfer pump and creamed honey agitator

The LCD membrane panel shows active mode, target weight, real-time calibration and motor speed. Manual mode primes the circuit at the start of each session and handles honey transfer between tanks: pressure is strong enough to fill drums through a bottom outlet with a 5 m head. Auto mode manages serial filling — select the target weight (common sizes are pre-programmed), fill a test jar, weigh it on a calibrated external scale, enter the actual weight and the machine self-corrects for the rest of the batch. Timer mode is the tool for creamed honey production: program alternating forward and reverse pump cycles by setting total cycle time and motor run time. Running 3 to 8 cycles across the day produces a consistently smooth cream without constant supervision.

🧼 Clean-down in 3 minutes and Latch Flange — no screws, no dead zones

All honey-contact parts are certified food-grade: AISI 316L stainless steel, POM and silicone. The design has no dead corners or crevices where honey can accumulate, which makes cleaning straightforward. The pump head disassembles in under 3 minutes and all parts are industrial dishwasher safe without any corrosion risk. Current machines include the Latch Flange: a butterfly-nut system that replaces M6 screws, letting you loosen, rotate and remove the filling elbow for refilling or cleaning in seconds — no lost small parts, no auxiliary injection valves prone to sucking air and contaminating the dose. Use pH-neutral detergents.

🔩 One machine, multiple configurations — real modularity for the bottling room

The same drive unit supports different setups depending on what you need. For inline automation, automatic rotary tables connect directly — the Auto S (Ø 65 cm, up to 45 × 250 g jars) or Auto M (Ø 100 cm, up to 65 × 1-litre jars) — each with a capacitive sensor that detects the jar in position and triggers the fill without any manual input. For small batches, a gravity funnel feeds directly without engaging the pump. For other products: the Propolis Extension Set adds a peristaltic pump head for filling alcohol-based tinctures or mead from 2 ml; the Royal Jelly Extension Set fits a gear head S plus a 5 L conical funnel for dosing into containers of 10–100 g. All are original manufacturer accessories that keep the warranty intact.

🏭 The most complete delivery package on the market — ready to work from day one

The basic equipment includes everything needed without additional accessories: Gear Pump Head L, height-adjustable stand (5–300 mm), two 4 m hose sets for filling and pump/creaming functions, wedge nozzle, conical nozzle, flat nozzle with stop cross, transverse pipe elbow for pump function, check valve, Y-bracket with U-bolt micro switch and 230 V power supply. All engineering and production takes place in Dresden to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 using regional suppliers, with long-term spare parts availability guaranteed. Shaft seals — the most frequently replaced consumable — should be changed every 20,000 kg processed or at least once a year. On the scale: the Honeyaid® has no integrated calibrated scale — a built-in scale loses its legal calibration every time the machine is moved or cleaned. The ± 1–2 g volumetric accuracy covers weight labelling requirements; for food safety inspections a certified external check scale is recommended for spot-checks.
