Optical sensor that detects the jar and starts the fill on its own: it replaces the pedal and the microswitch.

First of all, a date: April 2018. It is only compatible with DANA fillers built from then on. The production date is printed on the label next to the serial number, and checking it takes ten seconds. It is the same generational line that decides whether the compact table fits.

01 · NO CONTACT, NO WEAR

What is never touched neither breaks nor sticks

The pedal and the microswitch are mechanical parts working in a room full of honey: they end up sticky, and a sticky part that is pressed a thousand times a day is a part that eventually fails. The optical sensor is not pressed: it sees the container and triggers.

And it frees both hands. With both hands free you place the empty with one and take the full away with the other, which is exactly the rhythm you want when filling in series.

02 · WITH A ROTARY TABLE OR WITHOUT

It works on both set-ups

It behaves the same on a filler standing alone on the bench as on one fitted with a rotary table: in the first case it starts when you put the jar down, in the second when the jar reaches the filling position.

It is an accessory of the DANA line, not a generic sensor: it comes ready to connect to the filler and nothing else has to be fitted.
