MENNA MODEL

WITHOUT

PERIMETER GUARD

A professional station that splits pumped honey between several filter bags and collects it in one sump, so one line can be managed without stopping the whole process.

The LEGA Menna 6281 combines an upper manifold, independent valves, bags and a stainless-steel bench. Honey arrives from a compatible pump, passes through the selected bag and falls into the lower sump before moving to settling tanks or drums.

01 · PURPOSE

Parallel filtration, not a pump

The manifold distributes flow across the open outlets. Each valve can place a bag in service or isolate it, allowing the operator to adapt the available filter area and attend to one bag without necessarily using them all. The assembly does not draw or propel honey on its own: it needs a correctly sized pump, compatible fittings and a prepared downstream outlet. The official 230 kg figure describes the bench or sump capacity; it is not a 230 kg per hour throughput claim.

02 · SEPARATION

The bag aperture determines the result

A bag retains particles larger than its fabric opening, such as wax fragments, while honey passes into the sump. It does not remove dissolved substances, sterilise, liquefy crystals or replace a finer finishing stage when one is required. Viscosity, temperature, solids load, open filter area and bag condition determine actual flow. Before purchase, record the material and micron rating of every supplied or recommended bag in the quotation.

03 · OPERATION

Open enough area before raising pressure

Start with bags firmly secured, the sump outlet clear and enough valves open. Increase pump flow gradually while watching bag inflation, leakage and sump level. A loaded bag raises backpressure; do not compensate by closing more paths or forcing the pump. Before intervention, stop and isolate the feed, release pressure and allow the bag to drain. Keep the manifold supported and the bench level so honey cannot pool and overflow at one end.

04 · CLEANING

Change bags without contaminating the batch

Plan a clean spare set so replacements are not improvised during harvest. Empty the installation, isolate the pump and remove bags without touching their clean inner surface with contaminated equipment. Wash the sump, manifold, valves and textiles using the manufacturer-compatible method, rinse and dry fully before closing or storage. Inspect seams, fastenings, seals and free valve movement; a damaged or poorly secured bag can release solids or detach.

05 · BEFORE BUYING

Confirm the photographed configuration

LEGA identifies reference 6281 as the 1500 mm Menna bench with 230 kg capacity and no perimeter guard. The inherited LTA text states four outlets, while the active image shows three bags installed. To prevent a wrong delivery, the offer must state the number of valves and bags, micron rating, inlet and outlet fittings, working height, guarding and all included parts.

✓ SUITABLEHoney lines with an external pump that need several selectable bags above a common sump.
✕ DOES NOT PROVIDEPumping, heating, crystal liquefaction, sterilisation or fine filtration at an unspecified micron rating.
⚠ CONFIRMBag number and micron rating, fittings, pump, hoses, perimeter guard and exact supplied configuration.
