Calistrip Biox: check brood and application conditions

Calistrip Biox contains oxalic acid in strips. Its product information states that sealed brood can substantially reduce efficacy and that available clinical data relate to autumn in southern Europe.

Choose timing according to the leaflet. Do not use with honey supers in place or during honey flow; a zero-day withdrawal period does not remove these restrictions.

Promotor L Apis according to your feeding routine

Liquid Promotor L Apis is added to feed and comes in 1 and 5 litre packs. Premix is a powder for incorporating into mixtures, while Gel Apis allows direct feeding without making syrup.

Choose the delivery form and follow its instructions: millilitres of liquid cannot simply become the same number of grams of premix or gel. These products supplement the diet; they do not replace food stores or adequate protein when pollen is scarce.

Use a dedicated product for equipment hygiene

Despadac MAX is a disinfectant for premises and utensils. Its Spanish label distinguishes routine disinfection of premises and enclosures at 1:300–1:400 from utensils at 1:200. Use it only for authorised applications and surfaces, without animals present, observing the labelled contact time, rinsing and re-entry interval. Do not add it to feed or apply it to bees.
