Kaptarlift builds hive lifters in Hungary that are designed for beehives only: they grip the box by its sides with rubber jaws and lift it up to 107 cm, with a 100 kg limit across the whole range. There are three models, and what changes between them is how much of the work you do yourself: the Manual CHW, the Electric AWD and the Electric TOP, which also closes the jaws at the push of a button.

Three models, the same grip and the same limit

All three Kaptarlift models lift the hive up to 107 cm, measured from the ground to the fork, and none of them takes more than 100 kg. They grip the box by its sides with rubber FlexiGrip jaws that tilt to hold on uneven ground. What changes is the motor.

The Manual CHW is pushed by hand and lifts with a crank; it weighs 34.5 kg and has no battery. The Electric AWD drives on both wheels, lifts the hive in 11 seconds and loads itself onto the vehicle bed; its jaws close with a lever and open from 38 to 70 cm. The Electric TOP adds electric clamping at the push of a button and three LED lights, in exchange for a narrower opening, from 38 to 58 cm.

The measurement that decides the purchase

Measure the side you will grip the box by and compare it with the opening of the model. The jaws press vertically against the side walls: if your boxes have handles or protruding rims right there, as some migratory boxes do, send us a photo with measurements before you order. Check the gap between your rows too: the manual model is 70 cm wide and the electric ones 73-74 cm.

Battery, transport and lead times

The electric models run on a removable 24 V, 20 Ah lithium battery that gives about 4 hours of work; with a spare battery you cover the whole working day. The tow ball carrier takes the AWD or the TOP behind the car and leaves the load space free for hives, as long as the towbar takes at least 150 kg of vertical load. The TOP and the carrier are made to order, with delivery in 4-6 weeks.
