200 kg MAX. LOAD, DRUM INCLUDED | 500 W DRIVE MOTOR |
4 h OF WORK PER CHARGE | 30 kg TROLLEY WEIGHT |
Electric trolley for honey drums: the motor pushes the drum up the ramp and holds it back on the way down; you just steer it with the throttle on the handle.
It is the familiar two-wheeled sack truck, fitted with a motor and a lithium battery. It carries up to 200 kg including the drum, and the trolley itself weighs 30 kg.
01 · RAMPS AND SLOPES
You don’t lift a drum: you slide the toe plate under it, tip it back and let the wheel axle act as the pivot. On the flat, that is enough. The hard part is the lorry ramp, a step in the shed floor or a dirt track: uphill you push the full weight, downhill you hold it back. Here that job is done by a 500 W, 24 V motor with a differential that shares the drive between both wheels; hence the AWD in the model name. The manufacturer designs it for ramps and steep slopes but does not publish a maximum gradient: on a loading ramp, go slowly and keep the drum firmly seated against the frame.
02 · HANDLING
It switches on at the main switch next to the battery; the control unit sits on the handgrip. The throttle trigger sets the speed: the further you press it, the faster it goes, up to 4.5 km/h. The R button engages reverse and, going downhill, works as an electric brake: the motor holds the trolley back instead of your arms. While braking with R, keep off the throttle; the manual expressly forbids it as an accident risk. Three lights on the control unit show the battery level: green, full; yellow, half; red, empty.
03 · BATTERY AND CARE
The 24 V, 20 Ah lithium battery gives about 4 hours of work per charge and recharges in about 6 hours with the supplied 230 V charger; the manual allows no other charger and asks you to charge it before using the trolley. Between seasons, store it half-charged in a cool place, never fully flat. The unit is rated IP44: it copes with splashes but not with a hose, so move it out of the way before washing down the honey house.
04 · BEFORE YOU BUY
Weigh your full drum before you order. The 200 kg covers everything on the trolley, container included, and a full “300 kg” steel drum comes to around 330: that one is not for this trolley but for the 300 kg manual drum trolley in our range. The manual gives no drum diameter; if in doubt, send us a photo and the measurements of yours. At 85 cm wide and 140 high, measure the honey house door first. Its battery is 480 Wh and ships as dangerous goods: if delivery is to an island or a remote area, ask us first. Made to order.
