Sudzucker
Südzucker makes Apifonda and Apiinvert, two ready-to-use energy feeds supplied in different forms. Apifonda is a sugar paste; Apiinvert is liquid syrup. Choose according to how the colony can access the feed and how you intend to supply it.

More information about Sudzucker
Apifonda: paste placed within reach of the bees
Apifonda contains fine sugar crystals coated in syrup. Leave it in its packaging with an access opening, close to the bees. That positioning is especially important when the cluster cannot move readily.
The selection includes boxes of five 2.5 kg bags and pallets with different bag sizes. The pallet of 1 kg bags provides smaller portions without dividing a larger bag; 2.5 kg bags reduce the number of units handled for a given total weight. The 800 kg pallet contains 64 boxes of 12.5 kg; the 768 kg pallet contains 64 boxes of 12 kg with 1 kg bags.
Apiinvert: syrup ready to feed
Apiinvert combines sucrose, fructose and glucose in liquid form. It suits feeding without making syrup from sugar and water. Access and working temperature still matter even though the feed is ready to use. The pack offered here contains five 2.5 kg bags, totalling 12.5 kg.
Both products primarily supply energy; neither replaces pollen or a protein ration when needed. Required quantities depend on stores, colony population and forage. A bag will not last the same time in every hive. Prevent feed from entering honey intended for harvest.
